Building Blocks – Provide necessary learning skills for your child
Simple building blocks can do much in the way of helping your child develop new skills.
These learning toys can provide the necessary tools that they need and can aid in developing
your child’s mind. They may not look as sophisticated as some of the modern day toys on the
market today, but can be ideal for learning because they involve the child as a whole.
There is a host of children activities that can be done with these
wooden toys.
Building Blocks host a number of skills that your child will develop such as:
- Motor skills – Providing a greater awareness of how they move their hands and muscles
- Sense of touch – Your child will attain a greater sense of touch as to how different objects feel in their hands
- Improved Observation skills – The blocks will get them to think about different shapes and space

- Hand and Eye Coordination - Holding the blocks within their hands will give them a greater sense of how to hold objects and observe size and shape
Learning Toys that grow with your child
Unit Blocks can be used as your child transitions from a baby to a toddler. Both babies
and toddlers will continue to enjoy the simple sense of touching and gripping larger blocks.
During the toddler years they will develop stronger muscles which in turn will lead them to
stacking, and lining the blocks into different patterns. A young toddler may start to build a
structure such as a building with the blocks, which will help spark their imagination.
Developing Learning Skills
Your child will develop creative skills by playing with building blocks.
Your child will love coming up with their own designed building and the satisfaction of
doing it on their own. Building block sets can be used for a variety of pretend play.
They may use other figures to create themes in a miniature city that they designed with the
blocks.
Blocks can also aid in learning other skills such as math, vocabulary, geometry,
and balance. Children can learn how to add and subtract a different number of blocks.
They will learn new words as they describe the size, color and shape of the blocks, and
may also attain a math lesson in geometry as they learn the many different sizes and angles
of each type of blocks.
Finally, do not underestimate the value that can be had with this simple
educational toy.
A set of building blocks can be the starting blocks of a collection
of future skills and abilities for a child’s early
development.
