Discovering and imagining are an integral and necessary part of an early childhood.  Childrens toys for 3 and 4 year old should bring out the inquisitiveness and imagination in your child.  While more coordinated toys are needed for the 5 to 6 year olds. Boys may prefer a different type and style of toy then girls, and its important to know this difference.

When choosing childrens toys for boys, it important to know that they may choose more hands on type of toys that stimulate logical thinking.  Boys are more likely to choose building blocks, legos, wooden blocks, balls, and electronic toys.  While toys for girls may include such things as crafts , dolls, colorful costumes, beads to name just a few.

Childrens toys that will stimulate both genders may include jigsaw puzzles, crafts, board games, electronic games, as well as phonics toys.  Lets not forget to mention musical instruments that may bring out the musical talents that they may possess.  Learning a musical instruments stimulates a child in many ways: hand and eye coordination, concentration and focus, logical thinking, and creativity.
