Lego Bionicle – A Guide To The Different Sets Available
Lego Bionicle toys were released back in 2001 and have been a favorite in collectible kids
toys, as well as toy collectors of all ages.
Bionicle action figures come in different sets that include:
- Toa Action Figures – these include six lego bionicle figures that include: Tahu, Pohatu, Gali,
Lewa, Kopaka, and Onua. Each bionicle represents an element of the Earth and has a
matching Turaga, and Tohunga figure.
- Bohrok Va Action Figures - these are smaller lego bionicle sets similar to the Turaga.
They are basically the bad guys of wars similar to Bohrok. Their word-robe is mainly Krana.
You can find these collectible kids toys mainly in grocery stores and variety stores.
- Toa Nuva Sets – these lego bionicles are the evolved versioins of the six hero figures from
the bionicle saga. They have more armor and greater abilities. They wear a removable mask
called Kanohi Nuva. Together the Toa Nuva can accumulate to create a more powerful being.
- Turaga Figures – these bionicle are the head villagers who are known to “keep the faith”
for the Toa. These bionicle figures include: Matau, , Vakama, Onewa, Nuju, Nokama,
and Whenua. These figures are sold in small boxes and make
excellent collectible toys.
- Rahi Action Figures – these figures are the bad guys of the
lego bionicle story who serve
Makuta. These figures are somewhat more expensive and are larger sets that are more
complicated to build. They include two Rahi each.
- Bohrok Sets – these bionicles are an insect-like swarm. They are the bad guys who
work in teams to defeat the Toa. They attack using a lever on their back which moves
the head forward. There Krana are similar to the Kanohi masks of the Toa.
- Kanohi Action Sets – these are the masks that are worn by the Bionicle figures.
Each figure has its own mask and there are over 100 different masks. This makes a great
collectors items as each mask is sold in a small box that contains two masks per box.
- Tohunga Figures – these are the smallest bionicle figures. They originally appeared
in McDonald’s Happy Meals in 2001, but are now available on some online stores. They
include: Matoro , Kongu, Maku , Jala, and Onepu. Hafu is the seventh Tohunga sold with
the bionicle CD power pack.
Kids will enjoy hours of fun playing with Lego Bionicles.
They also make a great hobby as your child will enjoy collecting all
