Lego Blocks – Preschool Toys For Learning

The Lego Company was established in 1969 with the introduction of the ever popular Lego Duplo Bricks. These Lego Blocks are still considered the best learning toys for your child even today.  Lego has always strived to make the learning experience fun for kids and provided them with an excellent education and fun environment for kids to play in. With Lego building blocks children are actively seeking learning and having fun at the same time. They are inspired to create their very own characters and stories and can let their natural creative abilities and imagination soar.

The Lego Brand is definitely one of the most respected toy sellers out there today. Legos can be broken down into different product lines. Since 2002, the preschool Lego toys, which fall under the ages from birth to 6 years, have been categorized under the Lego Explore Umbrella that include four sub-categories:

  • Explore Together
  • Explore Being Me
  • Explore Logic
  • Explore Imagination

These Lego toy sets in the Explore categories have fewer blocks and are easier for little children to handle.

The Explore Imagination line has introduced the Animates toy product line in their 2003 edition. Animates allows children to form realistic animals as well as various wacky and crazy creatures. Included with Animates are the brightly colored Lego Bricks that have additional unique pieces, such as movable or magnetic heads as well as odd-shaped bending tails.

Some of the Animates include:

  • African Adventures
  • Rhino and Lion duo
  • Funny Crocodile
  • Funny Giraffe
  • Funny Lion

The Lego Explore Imagination line has also introduced Bob the Builder learning toys to create lego play sets for ages 2 years and up. These toy sets will allow kids to build play-lands for Bob. The line includes “Bob’s Busy Day” and “Wallpaper Wendy”. These sets include 10 pieces. The larger sets like “Clock Tower Bob” contain 46 pieces. Bob the Builder lego sets have less bricks to piece together.

The Explore together series includes “Fire Fighters” and “Police Action” learning sets for ages 2 years and up. They include two helicopters, a rescue boat, fire truck, firemen, and an emergency car.
