Parker Brothers - the father of board games
In 1883 a young man by the named of George Parker had invented his
first board game called Banking. It became a huge success and
he and his brother, Charles, had decided to start their own company
called Parker Brothers. Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Clue, Risk,
and Boggle, are very much part of American, and Canadian cultures,
and have been played by families all over the world. All of
theses games were published by one company, Parker Brothers.
This amazing company has turned many board games into cultural
