The Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) can be described as portable entertainment at its best. The
Portable Playstation console combines a portable gaming platform with a device that can play

Playstation 2 console. It
allows user to experience 3D games, with full-motion video, and high-fidelity stereo sound all
within this portable size unit.
PSP console also comes with built-in stereo speakers, external headphones connectors, input/output
connectors such as USB 2.0 and 802.11b (WiFi) wireless LAN. It allows users to connect to the
internet and play online through a wireless network. The network allows up to 16 PSP systems
in the area to be connected to each other directly. The wireless capabilities also allow data
and software to be downloaded and saved to the PSP memory stick duo.

The Playstation Portable includes an excellent line-up of 24 titles from the world’s
leading software development firms. There is also an additional 23 titles in the works that

support for the platform with movies being made available on the newly developed proprietary, compact 60 mm,
but high capacity 1.8 GB optical disc (Universal Media Disc (UMD) which is the PSP’s main
storage medium.
