Learn How To Pilot Your Own Rc Helicopter

It was not until just recently that trying to find an rc helicopter was a very hard and expensive task.  Due to the advancement in remote control technology, as well as the lower prices of radio control models and components, purchasing an rc helicopter has never been easier and affordable.  They are also becoming more and more suited to not just the expert but to novice flyers as well.  There is also a new breed of helicopters that have come along that have enabled the amateur pilot to perform basic maneuvers.  Models such as the Helichopper and the TrendTimes mini choppers are excellent for the first time flyer.   Most models can have a training aid fitted to the skids which can help in decreasing the chance of any damage to the model.

If you are looking to purchase an excellent rc helicopter that is great for indoor use, then take a look at the Hobby Source XR-1 4 Channel Ready to Fly Electric chopper.  This model has achieved what could have not been done a few years ago.  It is the first four channel electric powered RTF version, with the most realistic hovering capabilities using HVG (Hover Vortex Gyro) technology.  It uses the earth's gravitational pull to continually adjust the fixed pitch blades to achieve the most level stable helicopter possible.  Even beginners can learn to fly this with ease, but still giving the experts the ability to perform many tricks and stunts.

The Megatech Helichopper rc helicopter is one of the easiest to fly models.  Grab hold of the cool pistol-grip transmitter and take to the friendly skies.  It has a revolutionary self-stabilizing GyroHelix rotor design that makes it very easy to fly for anyone.  It contains any easy to use two channel (throttle and steering) pistol grip transmitter that gives you total control of climbing, descending, and left and right movements.   It is also made of super resilient Nylolene for crash resistant ruggedness.  Comes with a portable heli-pad with a built in quick-charger to get you off the ground in no time.  This model comes 100% assembled and is sold at a very inexpensive price.

Another great model rc helicopter to choose from is the Dragan Flyer IV.  This version comes with Lithium-Ion battery to give you between 16-20 minute flights.  The DraganFlyer has been featured on 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not", "Space Channel," "Discovery Channel", and Tech TV.  NASA has purchased this helicopter for research along with many universities worldwide.  This model has a minimal amount of parts, unlike other designs.  The body is virtually indestructible and replacement rotors are inexpensive.  It takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour to assemble the chopper and have it in the air.
