When the last territory of an empire is lost, that player leaves the game. Various cards are won and sets formed to gain additional playing units. This is one of the earliest examples of area control and set collecting that can be found within a board game. If there are any conflicts they can be resolved by a dice roll. A person who has a great deal of statistical knowledge stands a better chance of playing this game strategically.
