Civilization III - One Of The Best In Strategy Games
Strategy Games have been around for years and are an excellent
way to stimulate your mind. They are challenging, and
mind-stretching and can be very addictive once you start playing
them. Sid Meier's is the creator of some of the most
outstanding games like Colonization and Alpha Centauri, and his name
has been associated with some of the best games ever made. One
of the most innovative strategy games to come along in years is
Civilization III, which is the third installment of this fascinating
game. The new version offers all the features that were in the
original two series, plus some additional refinements that keep this
game refreshing and engaging.
Civilization III is on of the best in strategy games and offers
16 playable civilizations with its own strength and bonuses.
The game starts out in the year 4000 B.C., when the population of
people is nothing more then a primitive tribe, where each turn
progresses the game forward in time. Watch a small village
grow to small towns and eventually to a metropolitan city. You
are in charge of managing the growth of the city from the military,
city developments, diplomacy, and even scientific research.
There are many ways to win the game: by wiping out other
civilizations with military power, or defeating them through
cultural dominance.
Civilization III has the same addictive appeal as some of the
other strategy games that Meier's has created over the years.
Some of the new features include a new cultural rating, and new
resource management options. Now a city can earn cultural
points based on how many wonders and structures are built in the
city. The higher the cultural rating the faster your
civilization's borders grow. You can capture enemy cities if
your border extends as far as their borders.
Sid Meier's strategy games have always continued to evolve with
each version created. Fans of the original Civilization will
love the AI powering rival civilizations that are featured in the
latest version. It is capable of negotiating complex
arrangements with both your civilization as well as others.
They run from simple trade agreements to complex mutual protection
pacts. You will even find enemy civilizations trying to isolate you
from the rest of the world.
