Teach your kids important facts with Trivia Games

Trivia Games are always the life of any party, the hours of fun and enjoyment that can be attained with a number of people getting together to enjoy a night in is endless.  This is not the only benefit that one can get out of trivia games.  Your child can also learn very important facts and information with some of these games, and will also help to improve your child's memory recall skills.

There are many trivia games out on the market today.  One of the best known titles today is Trivial Pursuit which tests your recollection of different categories such as people & places, arts & entertainment, history, science, nature, and sports & leisure.  This is an excellent way to develop your child's memory and to teach them a large number of facts and figures in all areas of life.  The object of the game is to move along a circular pattern by answering questions, and to collect color wedges for answering the right question.  It is available today in  a number of different editions such as : Junior version, Biographies edition, Pop Culture, Know-it-all edition, and Millennium edition to name just a few.

Other trivia games include MindTrap, which contains over 500 riddles, mysteries, and trick questions.  Two teams try to outwit each other as they answer various questions correctly and roll the dice to advance along the score pad, which contains entwined chains of light and dark squares that form an optical illusion.

Cranium is another one of the better known trivia games out there.  Spell a word backwards, hum a tune, draw with your eyes closed or answer multiple choice questions. This is an excellent game that focuses on a number of skills.  There are activities that a team must complete in order to advance around the board.  It utilizes one of four different skill sets: creative, performance, linguistic, and practical.  Players will typically chose the skill they have the most aptitude for, or for a more challenging way you can have the activities selected at random.
